The post office of Mifflinburg is an example of the colonial revival architectural plan. It is brick and sandstone and sports a slate roof and a cupola topped with a weathervane. The new post office was completed in 1939 and dedication exercises were held Sept. 16.

The Susquehanna Greenway is a corridor of parks, trails and river communities along the Susquehanna River that are ripe for exploration by bike, boat or on foot. The Susquehanna Greenway Partnership asked people to share their cherished scenes of the Greenway and received over 300 entries in their 2nd Annual Treasured Towns and Landscapes of the Susquehanna Photo Contest. Magill has published his poems in online forums, and in a great number of small, community service publications like The Community Mennonite Fellowship Bulletin, The Keystone, a newsletter for and by citizens with disabilities, and in news publications including The Danville News. His poetry was listed in the now-defunct VS Arts and Artists Registry, which was under the John F. Kennedy Center for Performing Arts’ umbrella.

He played with a vast range of artists--from Frank Sinatra to Frank Zappa. While Lew was mainly a jazzman, he is prominently featured in the boxed set version of PET SOUNDS by the Beach Boys--regarded as one of the most important albums in rock music history. Lew also played trumpet on at least three Phil Spector sessions in the early 1960s.
