Letters To The Editor [Summer 2020]Jun 09, 2020 10:25PM ● By Taryn Colburn
I read your "From Where I Sit" piece when I first got the latest [Spring 2020} issue of Susquehanna Life and I thought it was lovely and helpful. Now as the world has changed and things have gotten even more challenging, I find your words to be comforting and even more helpful. I wanted to reach out to you to thank you. Your words have helped me cope. Thank you for writing, “Imagine what a wonderful world it would be if we behaved as though each day of life is precious.” I had time to contemplate your suggestion before it became so real. I appreciate your magazine. I love the stories and the photos are beautiful. Congratulations on 27 years and best wishes to you in your work and continued success.

This is the first magazine I look for if I am in a waiting room. Many times I have pushed other patients out of the way just so I could get your magazine! I thoroughly enjoy the historical articles as did my Mom who passed away 2 1/2 years ago. So when my Dad mentioned the magazine and how much he enjoys it, I thought this would make a perfect birthday gift. Thank you for providing a quality product!

It’s not often that local talent comes up with a really neat way to express a really neat idea, but you did it with your latest “From Where I Sit” letter [Spring 2020]. I glanced over it, and then thought I better read it again. And then again. My thinking ranged from wondering what’s going on with this woman, to what a bold and caring message for her readers. I don’t know how much it will help this old guy, but it certainly won’t hurt, and I suspect it will have a positive effect on most all who read it. Thank you for sharing your good thoughts.

I've been reading [Susquehanna Life] magazine at Geisinger doctors’ offices since we moved up here in 2002 from Allentown. I've been wanting to subscribe for quite some time as I’ve always enjoyed the magazine. I saw that I could order it online so I jumped at the opportunity.
