Be Safe Outdoors!Apr 02, 2020 02:14PM ● By Erica Shames
During this time of COVID-19, community and state parks and forests have become a place of respite for many Pennsylvanians. We flock to these public lands for family time, for fitness and to reduce stress.
Yet not everyone is practicing safe social distancing, nor are they being good stewards of our public lands. From leaving trash behind to leaving behind graffiti, these lands are under great pressure.
Some helpful tips:
- If you're sick, please stay home.
- Avoid crowds.
- Take all waste.
- Stay 6 feet away from your fellow hiker or biker.
- Wash your hands frequently.
Now more than ever our public lands are critically important to our communities and residents. Thank you. Stay safe and well.
