Best Irish pubs,
as chosen by our readers

McGrath’s Pub (202 Locust St., Harrisburg) is a centrally-located Irish pub with charm. Favorites include Chipotle Chicken Salad, Chicken Wings, Blackened Caesar Chicken Wrap and Jalapeño Burger.

Everything is delicious. The meat on the Irish Roast Beef sandwich is tasty and tender. Pleasant surprises are the quality of the food, cleanliness and atmosphere.

The Garryowen Irish Pub (126 Chambersburg St., Gettysburg) favorites include Shepherd’s Pie, Guinness Beef Stew and Ulster Fry. The quantities are generous and the food is delicious. The Irish Feast paired with the British steak sauce are phenomenal. Don’t miss the Irish bread pudding!

Ugly Oyster Drafthaus (21 South 5th St., Reading) excels in seafood and an Irish pub atmosphere. Specialties include Shrimp Bisque Soup, Raw Oysters and Steamed Clams. The Mushroom Soup is particularly good. The wings come with a house sauce that complements the chicken. Best burgers we’ve had!

Moon and Raven (155 West Fourth St., Williamsport) features a fun atmosphere and really good food. The eclectic menu will satisfy everyone in your group. The Shepherd’s Pie is garnished with a Guinness gravy, and a small loaf of bread with rosemary butter! Delicious! Great beer selection. For dessert? The Chocolate Torte with Raspberries, paired with a Guinness and the Banana Cake are can’t miss items!
