Organizers for the 2017 River Day Kayak/Canoe river float are planning the float on the Susquehanna River on June 11 to benefit Children’s Miracle Network at Geisinger.

The float will launch at 1 p.m. from the Bloomsburg Town Park. Participants are asked to gather at noon.

Participants will paddle approximately 10 miles down the Susquehanna River to Riverside Adventure Company in Riverside.  Kayaks and canoes are available for rent to preregistered participants. The registration fee is $20. A link can be found on the Children’s Miracle Network events page for kayak or canoe rentals.

The funds raised by this event will help to provide pediatric equipment, programs and services at Geisinger Janet Weis Children’s Hospital and throughout Geisinger Health System.
