Win an Award by Hacking Your Favorite Work of Art

Here’s the challenge: recreate a famous painting with props, costumes, makeup and/or creative interpretation—then take a photo and, possibly, win an award!
That’s the idea behind Art Hack, a ridiculous contest of creative interpretation, and a joint project of the CommUnity Zone, The Donald L. Heiter Community Center and Susquehanna Valley Villages.
Art Hack is a fundraiser for a new community Time Bank, a way for people in a community to trade goods and services in which everyone’s time and skills are valued equally.
No money is exchanged in a time bank, but the project needs money to get up and running.
The deadline for entering your artistic creation is March 25. There is a $10 entry fee per piece entered. The event culminates in a reception and awards party April 9 at Packwood House Museum in Lewisburg.
For a list of rules and an entry form, please visit SVVillages.org or call The CommUnity Zone at (570) 238-1818.
