Tripping has ranked the Weis Center for the Performing Arts at Bucknell University - Lewisburg, PA third on its list of 10 of The Most Amazing College and University Performing Arts Centers in the U.S.

Tripping says of the Weis Center, “Beautiful, exciting, and innovative: these could describe the productions at the Weis Center, but also the venue itself…What makes the Weis Center special compared to other colleges’ performing arts centers is that it not only holds professional and student performances, but also free presentations like yoga. The goal of the Weis Center is to increase involvement in and knowledge of the arts within the University, local community and the region.”

Tripping is the world's largest search engine for vacation rentals, with over 5 million vacation homes and short-term rentals listed.

The Weis Center performance hall features striking architecture and exceptional acoustics. The Center’s programming offers more than 30 professional performances each year, including world music, jazz, blues, bluegrass, modern dance, classical and a Family Discovery Series.

The Weis Center works tirelessly to include MacArthur Genius award recipients like Jason Moran, Kyle Abraham, and Michelle Dorrance and Grammy-award winners such as Emmylou Harris and Gregory Porter in its annual offerings.

Weis Center events are not confined to the 1,200-seat auditorium. Events also take place in the Weis Center’s lobby and outdoor Plaza.

In conjunction with their performances, many artists perform a variety of residency activities on and off campus, including coaching students individually or in small groups; facilitating classes; leading pre-performance talks, workshops and demonstrations; and conducting "flash concerts" in community locations.

In May 2014, the Weis Center was also listed third by BestValueSchools on its list of 25 Most Amazing University Performing Arts Centers in recognition of its mix of programming and community engagement.
