'Profit, Not Greed, in Business' is the Key

Ronald F. Duska will present Susquehanna University’s 2014 Edward S. and A. Rita Schmidt Lecture in Ethics. His presentation explores the dangers of greed in the professional world. The lecture takes place Oct. 27 at 7:30 p.m. in the Stretansky Concert Hall - Selinsgrove, PA.

Duska is president of Duska Business Ethics Consulting. He is a member of the board and past president and executive director of the Society of Business Ethics and the publisher of Business Ethics Quarterly. He has authored and edited numerous articles as well as several books, and serves as an adjunct professor at St. Joseph’s and Villanova universities.

From 1996 to 2011, Duska held the Charles Lamont Post chair of ethics and the professions at The American College, where he co-founded and directed the college’s Center for Ethics and created The Mitchell Forum, which brings together chief executives with business ethicists. A professor emeritus at Rosemont College, he has taught at the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School, the University of Virginia, Penn State University and St. John’s University. He is a senior fellow at the Olson Center at the University of Virginia, and a senior fellow at the Pedro Arrupe Center for Business Ethics as St. Joseph’s University.
