Learn how social media is changing how businesses market and advertise. Develop a successful social media plan by thoroughly knowing answers to these questions: Why do we communicate? What do you want to say? What are the best tools (channels) for communicating? Who is your target audience? What media do your audiences use? This course will cover a wide range of relevant social media platforms used to promote your products and services, with an emphasis on Facebook and Twitter as well as coverage of Pinterest, Instagram and others. You will learn how blogging connects you to a larger audience and improves your search engine rankings. Design a successful social media plan by developing a strategy, identifying your goals and objectives, and creating a time line for the fulfillment of your strategy. NOTE: A basic familiarity with social media is recommended. Current accounts with each social network is not required.This class counts towards the Social Media Marketing certificate.
