Intro to Game Development
Intro to Game Development HS 75, Saturday, September 17 - November 12* 10 a.m. - 1 p.m., $280 Natasha Warshawsky Have you always wanted to go into the video game industry? This course introduces you to the principles of game design and game art production. After a brief history of games, the class will practice exercises on designing rules and mechanics that are practical for any type of game. You will then work independently and in small groups to explore the concept of fun, design art for your games, and manage the projects from start to finish. Through the use of freeware called Stencyl, you will also learn what software and techniques are used with different games and the concepts of how to apply those techniques in the current video game industry. *class does not meet on September 24 due to Open House.
