LECTURE - Remembering Firebase Ripcord

Categorized as: Other
Event tags:

Description:

In 1970, a four-month long battle was fought between the 101st Airborne Division and North Vietnamese Army regulars in the triple canopy jungle west of the A Shau Valley. Due to a media blackout, most Americans knew little of this fight that had taken Buffalo Bills Rookie of the Year Bob Kalsu, and Weiland Norris, brother of action star Chuck Norris. Newspaper editor and author of the book, “Remembering Firebase Ripcord,” Chris Brady will discuss this action in a talk and book signing at the Pennsylvania Military Museum.
