Learn to scuba dive! Throughout the course, you’ll learn the fundamentals of scuba diving, equipment and techniques with an instructor who loves teaching new divers. If you’ve always wanted to try scuba diving, then jump in! Instructed by Sunken Treasure Scuba Center.
Beginner Scuba Lessons
This is your entry into the divers world. If you’ve always wanted to learn how to scuba dive, discover new adventures or simply see the wondrous world beneath the waves, this is where it starts.
The PADI Open Water Diver course is the world’s most popular scuba course, and has introduced millions of people to the adventurous diving lifestyle.
Interested in scuba diving, but not quite sure? An easy introduction in the familiarity of a swimming pool. Quick & Easy - you can complete this experience in less than a half hour. Cost: FREE
Students will be required to have a PADI Open Water Student kit which can be purchased from Sunken Treasure before or the 1st day of class. Kit cost is $70.00 and they will need to pay for it the 1st day.
Student will also be required to have their own mask, snorkel & fins for the course (This is a normal industry practice). If they do not own these items it is recommended to wait until after the 1st class to purchase because we will teach them how to buy the proper gear.
Students have one year to complete their dives as set forth by PADI Standards.

Money for PADI Open Water Student Kit
Rich best was certified in 1975 through PADI, (Professional Association of Diving Instructors). In 1978, he opened Sunken Treasure Scuba Center. Graduating from PADI International College in San Diego, CA in 1979, he became a PADI Master Instructor in 1988. In 1992, Best became a PADI IDC (Instructor Development Course) Staff Instructor - qualified to teach over twenty PADI specialty courses. Diving is his full time lively hood.
