Aldo Leopold and a Land Ethic for Our Time

We will be showing the film “Green Fire, Aldo Leopold and a Land Ethic for Our Time.” The film presents the life of Aldo Leopold and his evolution as a conservationist. The film explores the development and meaning of the his land ethic. Aldo Leopold began his career as a National Forest Ranger and ended his career at the University of Wisconsin. His book, A Sand County Almanac, is a classic of environmental literature. He was instrumental in having the first wilderness area designated in a national forest and was a founder of the Wilderness Society. Please come and be inspired by this film as so many others have been.
