Safety Camp!

Day 1-Babysitting Basics- Use activities, games and tools to help young people (ages 11 and up) become better babysitters. Skills covered include: providing care for infants and children, starting and managing your babysitting business, find out what to charge, what to expect, staying safe, handling emergencies, choosing age-appropriate, activities, recognizing and handling a variety of behaviors. Leave with your own Babysitter’s Backpack filled with “go-to” activities, games, crafts, and snack ideas. Includes lessons with Red Cross instructor!

Red Cross First Aid Training/CPR –Days 2 and 3

Learn Sitter Survival Strategies, respond to emergencies with first aid, rescue breathing and more, learn to make good decisions under pressure, communicate effectively with parents, recognize safety and hygiene issues. Earn a certificate that shows you have Red Cross training. Includes lessons with Red Cross instructor!

Personal Safety- Day 4 Jeff Ramsey, teacher of 5 Weeks to Self-Defense, will will cover safety topics including awareness and strategies to stay safe by reducing possible physical encounters. Shihan Jeff Ramsey has been studying martial arts for over 23 years and holds numerous ranks in several martial arts.
