March 28 Open House to Offer Closer Look at ‘degrees that work’

Students looking for a rewarding next step in their educational journey are encouraged to visit Pennsylvania College of Technology, a special mission affiliate of The Pennsylvania State University in Williamsport, during a March 28 Open House. The event offers a convenient opportunity for prospective students, their families and friends to explore Penn College, its “degrees that work” and facilities. To learn more and to register, visit or email The college’s hands-on approach allows students access to the latest technology in classrooms, labs, Madigan Library and dedicated study areas. Courses are taught by experienced faculty who often have relevant work-related knowledge. An excellent faculty-to-student ratio and small classes ensure personal attention, and free tutoring is available. Students may choose two- or four-year degrees; associate degrees can provide a head start for the college’s baccalaureate programs. Nearly four out of five students receive financial aid and a wide variety of scholarships are available to help them complete their education. A full college experience awaits those who desire on-campus housing, student activities and Greek Life; Wildcat athletics teams now compete as provisional NCAA Division III members. Among the newer offerings are a four-year degree in business administration: sport and event management concentration. Beginning in the Fall 2015 semester, the School of Business & Hospitality major will provide essential skills for excelling in the many industries and occupations relating to both sports and events – opportunities that include sports leagues, retail, equipment, tickets, health clubs and conventions.
