WoodCarving and Wildlife Art Festival

42nd show of Lancaster County WoodCarvers

Lancaster County WoodCarvers present their 42nd Woodcarving and Wildlife Art Festival where artist share their work. This festival has m any exhibitors selling their original art while some are just showing their talent and creativity. There are sculptures, relief carvings, ornaments, jewelry, pictures, walking sticks, and a whole lot more. Vendors will be there with books and supplies for carving and other wildlife art. Fox Chapel Publishing will have a display and demonstration area for the Festival featuring their magazine: Woodcarving Illustrated. Demonstrations and/or instructions will be offered hourly as well as door prizes. Featured artists for the festival will be: Shawn Cipa is known for his carving of walking stick, whimsical and folk art pieces. In 2000 Shawn was recognized as “Santa Carver of the Year”, after having won Woodcraft’s National Santa Carving contest. Desiree Hajny is known for her realistic animal pieces. In April of 2003 Desiree was the third recipient of the Wood Carving Illustrated “Woodcarver of the Year” award. Millersville University will have a food truck available. There is amble free parking and a modest $5.00 admission charge. Lancaster County WoodCarvers is a non-profit dedicated to promoting the art of woodcarving.
