Description:

Susquehanna Life magazine sponsors its 6th Annual Invite Your Neighbor to Dinner Day. Enjoy a delicious, authentic Amish dinner featuring fresh roasted chicken and ham, homemade egg noodles, salads, vegetables and an array of mouthwatering homemade baked goods. The cost is $21.50 per person, including beverage, dessert and tip, and must be prepaid via credit card. Call (800) 232-1670 by Jan. 3, 2015 to reserve your space.

Why we celebrate: On Oct. 23, 2002, Pennsylvania passed a resolution declaring “Dinner Day” an official holiday. On the second Saturday in January, we are encouraged to invite a neighbor to dinner. Unable to join us? Ask a neighbor you’ve never met to dine with you in your home or out on the town—you’ll build a bridge to your neighbors, and help make the world a friendlier place. What a great way to start the New Year!
