Circle School Open House
Come learn more about self-directed democratic education at The Circle School's Open House on Thursday, October 10!
Drop in from 6:00 to 8:00pm (Q&A Panel at 6:30pm) to chat with members of the school community and take a tour of the Meadow Campus, designed for the school's unique program.
A lively Q&A panel discussion will begin at 6:30pm, where you'll have the opportunity to ask questions and hear Circle School students, alumni, staff, and parents share their thoughts about self-directed democratic education. Preschool through high school, students practice life in a self-governing community, with rights and responsibilities comparable to those of adults in the real world.
With no principal or headmaster, students and staff together manage The Circle School using democratic methods such as a legislature that makes laws and a court system that enforces those laws. Students and staff members each have one vote in matters of school governance. Operating as a scaled down version of American society, students at The Circle School freely pursue interests and activities of their own choosing.
Come see how self-directed democratic education enables children and teens to live fulfilling lives, engaged in community, growing into happy, effective adulthood.
Advance registration is preferred but not required. To register, go to https://www.circleschool.org/contact/public-presentation/.
This event is free-of-charge and open to the public.
