Rupp House Courtyard Chat: The Healing
Visitors to the Rupp House History Center have an opportunity to enjoy a series of Courtyard Chats throughout the 2019 spring/summer season.
Join us and relax in the comfort of a rocking chair on the courtyard porches of the historic Rupp House on Saturday, May 18, 2019, for a chat entitled, The Healing. Dawn Diehl and Linda Harris of the Civil War Historical Impressions will present conversations of Civil War Nurses. Join us for an opportunity to share in the emotional struggles of the women who pioneered professional nursing. Hear a unique presentation based on facts written in the personal journals of female nurses, one from the north and one from the south, who served during the War Between the States. The program begins at 6:30 p.m. at the Rupp House, located at 451 Baltimore Street, Gettysburg. Before and after the chat, take time to explore the Rupp House History Center to learn the civilian stories connected to the Battle of Gettysburg. The chats and the museum offer free admission.
