Addressing Difference & Diversity with Young Children: A Workshop for Families
This workshop gives parents of young children an opportunity to discuss ways they can help their young children navigate differences and diversity among people. Using children’s literature as a tool, we will begin a discussion, reflecting on our own experiences and attitudes with difference, and learn some tips to help young children positively interact with diversity within our community. Childcare provided adjacent to workshop -- with a special story time and activities. Infants/toddlers welcome to stay with parents. Cost: FREE, admission to museum included. Seats are limited; Contact Jabari Johnson to RSVP firstname.lastname@example.org. Each family receives a book to take home. Sponsored and facilitated by the Coalition for Social Equity.
