Plein Air Event

Artists, art lovers, and plein air enthusiasts of any age—especially those who appreciate nature and care about environmental preservation—are invited to 5th Annual Plein Air Event sponsored by the Merrill Linn Conservancy, the Lewisburg Arts Council, the Artists’ Guild of Lewisburg, and the Union County Historical Society. The Event will be held at two Merrill Linn Conservancy conservation easement properties in Union County. Both are easily accessible: • Dale/Engle/Walker property and Dale’s Ridge Trail, Strawbridge Rd., west of Lewisburg • Shamokin Mountain Trail, 249 Forest House Lane, off Stein Lane, Lewisburg • PLUS: Shikellamy State Park opens to the public on May 2; artists are encouraged to visit the park to paint the views from Shikellamy Bluffs. Workshop: Noted artist Lina Ferrara will present an optional workshop starting at 9:00 a.m. at the Dale/Engle/Walker House. Afterward, artists may find a location at the D/E/W property or go to Shamokin Mountain Trail to work. Space is limited for the workshop only.
