Lighting for Photographers

Confused by off-camera lighting? This course is an introduction to learning about the techniques and tools used in photography lighting. You will learn about the characteristics of light, light sources, modifiers, balancing flash with ambient light, and additional camera techniques specific to lighting. At the end of this course, you will have the basic knowledge and hands-on experience to feel confident when lighting a subject with off-camera light. Recommended: Completion of PHO 193, Introduction to Digital Photography or equivalent experience. Note: To take this course, you must have basic to intermediate computer skills and a digital 35 mm SLR camera. This class counts towards the Digital Photography certificate.
