Incorporated in 2010, The Whole Life Society provides comprehensive wellness programming to help individuals, families, and communities lead full, healthy lives. We partner with like-minded groups to create a climate of openness and inclusion and operate as a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization. We focus on easeful physical exercise, nutrition, mindfulness and stress reduction, and establishing social connections through special events, music, and informal gatherings. A key aspect of the Whole Life Society is the Integral Yoga Center of Pennsylvania, which offers classic Hatha Yoga classes, educational workshops, events, and trainings at our facility in New Berlin, Pennsylvania, with venues being added in Lewisburg. Our many instructors continue to add new certifications to help those with specialized needs. Yoga for Cancer, for instance, is offered completely free of charge to patients, survivors, and caregivers. Three instructors are currently completing requirements for advanced yoga therapy certifications and we have current programs for those with chronic depression, anxiety and, seasonal affective disorders, yoga for arthritis as well as those with limited mobility. Our instructors volunteer their time for our classes. The Whole Life Society and Integral Yoga operate out of a building in New Berlin, Pennsylvania, which has historical significance as a church and seminary with direct lineage to Albright College. In 2014, the Whole Life Society assumed the mortgage on the building and is proceeding to rehabilitate the structure. Please consider donating to the Whole Life Society 2015 Spring fundraiser to help us continue our good work and preserve a historical treasure.
