71st Annual PA Maple Festival

March 17 and 18, and March 21-25
 
The Pennsylvania Maple Festival is an annual event in Meyersdale, PA, to celebrate spring, the tapping of maple syrup from local area maple trees and the heritage of this wonderful Laurel Highlands area.
 
This festival provides everyone with an opportunity to experience our culture, industry and commerce as it has evolved over the past 170 years.
 
Following is all the information you need to make your visit to the PA Maple Festival complete!

 
Pre-Festival Activities

February 24th
2 pm – Tree Tapping Ceremony
 
March 3rd
7 pm – 71st Annual Maple Queen Contest
Meyersdale High School Auditorium
 
March 10th
10 am-3 pm
Quilt Show Registration at Meyersdale Fire Hall Social Room
Agricultural Fair Exhibit Registration at Festival Park
 
March 12th
9 am-3 pm
Final Day to Register for the Window Display Contest
(Register at the Maple Festival Office)
 
March 12th
6-9 pm
Agricultural Fair Exhibit Registration at Festival Park
 
March 16th
10-11 am
Maple Products Registration at Festival Park Sugar Shack
Maple Products Judging – 1 pm
(Closed to the public)
Window Display Contest Judging – 4 pm

2 pm Historical “Legend of the Magic Water” Pageant at Meyersdale Area High School
 
Sunday March 18th:
8 am – 4 pm Lions Club Pancake House
9 am – 5 pm Festival Park Complex/Quit Show/Antique Tractor and Farm Machinery Show Open
10 am – 3 pm Truck and Motorcycle show on Main and Center Streets
 
Wednesday March 21st:
8 am – 2 pm Lions Club Pancake House
9 am – 4 pm Festival Park Complex/Quilt Show
 
Thursday March 22nd:
8 am – 2 pm Lions Club Pancake House
9 am – 4 pm Festival Park Complex/Quilt Show
5 pm – 7 pm Community Pancake Dinner at the Lions Club Pancake House
7 pm Community Worship Service at Meyersdale Grace Brethren Church
 
Friday March 23rd:
8 am – 4 pm Lions Club Pancake House
9 am – 5 pm Festival Park Complex/Quit Show
1 pm Historical “Legend of the Magic Water” Pageant at Meyersdale Area High School
 
Saturday March 24th:
8 am – 4 pm Lions Club Pancake House
9 am – 5 pm Festival Park Complex/Quit Show ; Tractor Show Open on Grant Street
9:45 am Maple Race 8K/5K Run/Walk begins at Meyersdale Area High School
11 am – 4 pm Beer and Wine Garden at the Festival Park Complex
1 pm Grand Feature Parade
3:30 pm Historical “Legend of the Magic Water” Pageant at Meyersdale Area High School
 
Sunday March 25th:
8 am – 4 pm Lions Club Pancake House
9 am – 5 pm Festival Park Complex/Quit Show ; Tractor Show Open on Grant Street
10 am – 3 pm Antique, Classic and Street Rod Car Show on Main and Center Streets
1 pm Horse Pulling Contest at Somerset County Fair Grounds
5 pm – 6pm Agricultural Fair Exhibit /Quilt pick-up at Festival Park and Fire Hall
 
Visit Festival Park which includes Historic Maple Manor, Maple Sugar Camp and Demonstrations, Old time Doctors Office, Cobbler Shop and Country Store, Arts & Crafts, Live Stage Entertainment, Food Vendors, Children’s Corner, Historic Re-enactments and Agricultural Fair Exhibits.
 
Visit Downtown Meyersdale, site of Lions Club Pancake House, Quilt Show, Restored Historic Train Station, Window Displays and Food Vendors.

Adults $5.00
Children (6-12) $1.00
Children (5 and under) Free
(Price includes admission to Festival Park Complex and Quilt Show. Admission to Beer and Wine Garden , Historical Pageant and Lions Club Pancake House additional.)
 
Events subject to change without notice and weather permitting. Notice- no pets/bicycles and skateboards in Festival Park or the car show area.

Lions Club Pancake House

Pancakes, Fresh Sausage and 100 percent pure Somerset County Maple Syrup located in the Meyersdale Community Center on the corner of Rt. 219 and Main Street.
