Where can you go to have a unique dining experience—either
because what or where you eat? Our readers suggested these options.
Front Porch Café
(55 S. Richland Ave., York)
Housed in the historic Frey mansion, Front Porch Café serves farm-fresh meats, produce and fruit purchased from York County farms and dairies, whenever possible. Menus change frequently to feature seasonal items. BYOB.
La Costena Restaurant
(315 W. King St., Lancaster)
La Costena Restaurant serves up traditional Peruvian cooking in an understated atmosphere that belies the quality of the food. Specialties include Picante de Camarones (marinated shrimp in a spicy, creamy yellow pepper sauce); Pescado en Salsa de Mariscos (fried tilapia with seafood and sauce); and Ceviche Mixto (mixed seafood cooked in fresh lemon juice). Beef and chicken dishes also delight.
(1234 Liberty St., Franklin)
Bella Cucina features eclectic recipes from around the world for lunch and dinner. Dine amid an indoor live oak tree, and start your dinner with the Roasted Beet Salad. Move on to Bella’s Greek Chicken or Roasted Garlic Goat Cheese Filet Mignon. Perfection!
