Mark Tomeo to Play Post and Lintel Gallery Saturday

Apr 26, 2017 09:37AM ● By Erica Shames
Mark Tomeo, guitarist extraordinaire, will lend his musical talent to the artist reception featuring the work of photographer Erica Shames at the Post and Lintel Gallery, inside Urban Post, 308 Market Street, Lewisburg, from 1 to 3 p.m. on Saturday, April 29.

Tomeo, a member of the band Pages of Paul, frequently performs around the region alone, at open mics with various performers, and with singer Karen Nogle. His slide guitar and guitar licks are second to none.

"If you've never heard Mark Tomeo perform, this is an excellent opportunity to hear his talent," said Erica Shames. "Tour the Lewisburg Arts Festival on Market Street, then join us at Post and Lintel, starting at 1p.m."

Shames' photographs, on display at Post and Lintel Gallery through May 31 in an exhibit entitled, "Interpreting the World Through a Lens," depict a vast array of settings, from the Central Susquehanna Valley to New York City and Santa Fe, NM, and San Francisco.

Her photographs frequently appear in Susquehanna Life magazine, the lifestyle publication she founded in 1993, and in the magazine's gallery/office at 217 Market Street, Lewisburg.

Shames will give an artist talk at 2 p.m. on the 29th, focusing on how and why she enjoys capturing and recording the world in pictures, and offering tips to help others who wish to do the same. Refreshments will be served. For more information: (570) 522-0149 or (570) 884-4369
