Orthopaedist joins Geisinger Medical Center

C. Liam Dwyer, M.D., has joined Geisinger Medical Center as a doctor of orthopaedics, specializing in hand, wrist, finger and elbow conditions and injuries. In addition to seeing patients in the Lewisburg community practice clinic each Monday, he will see patients in the orthopaedics clinic at Woodbine Outpatient Clinic, Danville, from Tuesday through Friday.

Dr. Dwyer comes to Geisinger after serving his orthopaedic residency at UPMC Hamot. In 2016, he completed an orthopaedic hand fellowship at Lahey Clinic. Dr. Dwyer’s clinical interests include carpal tunnel and cubital tunnel syndromes, nerve and tendon injury, tennis elbow, tendonitis, trigger and mallet fingers, fractures, joint dislocations and replacements, lacerations, cysts and masses in the hand, wrist, finger and elbow.

He earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Notre Dame in 2006, and a medical degree in 2010 from the Strich School of Medicine – Loyola University Chicago.
