How Does Your Garden Grow?

Apr 29, 2016 08:57AM ● Published by Susan Ryder

It takes a while for stuff to grow! I know this, yet every day I hover over my plants looking for any sign of gain.  Each seed popping through the ground is like a little treasure.  The Ryder garden is progressing.  The kale, snow peas, lettuce and onions had a growth spurt this week with unwelcome, but necessary, spring rains and cool temperatures.  I wasn't sure that my leeks were going to make it.  The tiny, grass-like sprouts didn't look very sturdy and their future seemed uncertain.  However, this week, like the rest of my plants, the leeks appear healthy and have a bright future in my soup pot. Here are some cold crop progress pictures.
Send me some of yours!
