Women's Professional Partnership Learns about Greenway

Nov 11, 2015 01:12PM ● By Erica Shames

The Women’s Professional Partnership welcomed Trish Carothers, executive director of the Susquehanna Greenway Partnership, as the November meeting guest speaker.

Trish talked about the many ways the SGP has united river towns in a 500-mile stretch of the Susquehanna River corridor, and its connecting waterways. The Greenway seeks to educate people about and link together the many cultural, recreational and historical opportunities available.

Among those attending the meeting, which was hosted by Kathy Scullin and catered by Elizabeth’s An American Bistro, were (top to bottom, L to R): Connie Timm, Michele Wert, Christine Feidt, Trish Carothers, Kathy Scullin, Liz Furia, Lauren McDonald, Farida Zaid and Erica Shames.

The public has an opportunity to help decide the shape and fate of one such waterway, the Bull Run Greenway, in Lewisburg, on Nov. 10, starting at 5:30.
