In conjunction with the Greater Susquehanna Valley Chamber of Commerce, a kick-off ceremony will be held on July 21 at 11 AM at the Tall Cedars Grove. In addition to a ribbon cutting, there will be light refreshments and a drawing for door prizes. Local celebrities and dignitaries will help with the festivities, which include the GREAT BALLOON LAUNCH of hundreds of balloons carrying invitations to the fair, (which is scheduled for August 19-22 at the Grove). Children in attendance will help with that launch.
The County 4-H Program plans their 5-K Fundraiser on August 22, starting and ending at the fairgrounds. For details contact the County Extension Office. (This event is strictly a fundraiser that benefits local 4-H programs)
