Susquehanna Health is hosting a free informative event, Heartburn: Answers to Your Burning Questions, Thursday, May 21, 5:30 pm in the Education & Conference Center, Walnut Room, Williamsport Regional Medical Center, 700 High Street, Williamsport.

In the session, Drs. David Schaefer and Vivek Kumar, Susquehanna Health Digestive Disease Center, and Dr. Timothy Judge, Susquehanna Health General Surgery, will discuss treatment options for Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD) and Barrett’s esophagus.

GERD is a chronic digestive disease that occurs when stomach acid flows back into the esophagus, causing severe irritation and heartburn. If left untreated, the constant reflux can lead to a pre-cancerous condition called Barrett’s esophagus.

Seating for the event is limited and registration is required. Please register by calling 1-877-883-4791. Refreshments and a light dinner will be provided to all registrants.
