Build Trails With Keystone Trails Association

There are three opportunities to join KTA in building and maintaining Pennsylvania’s treasured footpaths during the month of May.

Come for one—come for all! Stay for a day—or a full week, and work your way towards the coveted orange Trail Crew shirt. All ages and levels of experience are welcome; there is something for everyone to help with!

May 2: Code Orange 1-Day Trail Care, Whipple Dam State Park, with Friends of Whipple Dam State Park

Leader: Michael Dinsmore


Meet: 8:30 AM at Park Office

Camping available Friday and Saturday at Greenwood Furnace State Park.

Friends Group will provide lunch. 

May 15-17: Trail Care, West Rim Trail

Leader: Ed Lawrence


Camp: Colton Point State Park

May 26-31: Trail Crew Week #1: North Country Trail

Trail Description: The North Country National Scenic Trail is the longest hiking path in the United States—4,600 miles long and stretching through 7 states. More than two-thirds of the 195-mile proposed route through Pennsylvania have been completed.
