Learn About Contemporary Quilting in Upcoming Workshop

Apr 08, 2015 12:24PM ● Published by Erica Shames

On Monday, April 27, Sharon will discuss “The Wild and Wonky Designs of Contemporary Quilting,” from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. at The Public Library for Union County, 255 Reitz Blvd, Lewisburg.

Sharon’s workshop will be a participatory discussion of contemporary quilt designs, colors, and the “no rules” and “no patterns” approach to quilt design and construction.  She will display many of her own finished quilts, plus quilts in various stages of completion.  There will be lots of discussion and Show & Tell.  By sharing her quilts as examples, she will tell how she found her way to this creative sewing adventure after 35 years as an administrator in preschool services.

To reserve your space -- the group is limited to 40 and is suitable for ages 12 and up --  e-mail at lbgartsfestivalworkshops@gmail.com or phone Vicki Heberlig at 570-523-3128.  All workshops are free and are generously sponsored by Bucknell University.
