In Lehigh County, Blue Mountain in New Tripoli won three awards, including a gold for its Shiraz, and Vynecrest in Breinigsville won four, including silver for its Lemberger.

In Southeastern Pennsylvania, Kennett Square's Galer Estate Vineyard & Winery was noted for its Equivine Chardonnay, winning best in class in the nationwide competition, which also included Korean selections. Chadds Fords' Penns Woods Winery also picked up honors in the show, receiving a double gold for its Traminette.

Also according to the article: "Nissley Vineyards & Winery in Bainbridge, Lancaster County, which recently did a makeover of its website, noted that its planning to close its shop in the Colonial Mal Mall in Harrisburg, Pa. The closing date is unknown. 'We were reluctant to take this step, because we have been in the mall at one location or another for the past 30 years. Unfortunately, shop traffic has been declining during recent years,' the announcement said."
