Emerging Ephrata Artist Brings Paintings to Lancaster Exhibit

Dec 05, 2014 10:00AM ● Published by Erica Shames

Bernadette Cachuela will bring her abstract oil and acrylic paintings to Mulberry Art Studios for a January exhibition. The exhibit opens with a First Friday reception from 5 to 9 p.m. on Jan. 2, and will continue throughout the month of January. Regular gallery hours are held from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. at Mulberry Art Studios, located in downtown Lancaster at 19-21 N. Mulberry St.

Cachuela is a multimedia artist from Ephrata. She has done art her whole life with different inspirations coming from life experiences. She primarily works out of her multi functioning studio in downtown Ephrata called Omni Lens Studios where she dabbles in the field of Photography and Fine Art in her free time. Painting has always been an outlet and she shares her emotions in a lot of her paintings by using vibrant colors and interesting designs.

“Art goes a long way for me, it’s not just painting, it’s not just when I take pictures or when I’m cooking, Art is everywhere” Cachuela explains. “I see the world differently and that is why many don’t understand me. I’m ok with that because it makes sense in other aspects. What I hope people take from my work is just the utter chaos I see all the time in my life and in others and how things aren’t always as they appear.”
