Koinonia Guide Service Founder Identifies New Hot Fish in Susquehanna River

Veteran fishing guide and founder of the Koinonia Guide Service - a Carlisle-based professional guide service for the Susquehanna River - Rod Bates recently discussed the growing popularity of both the channel and flathead catfish.

"This year, the gap between smallmouth bass trips and catfish trips has continued to get closer. As we begin our fall season, 58 percent of the trips that have been booked with our staff have been for smallmouth bass, but 40 percent have been booked for catfish and the remaining trips being booked for musky and walleye," Bates said in an Oct. 19 article in the Republican Herald.
