Raffle Offers a Chance to Win Beautiful Art Pieces

Nov 06, 2014 11:45AM ● By Erica Shames

A unique pottery mug. A beautiful wooden turned pen. A one-of-a-kind wooden serving tray made by 2014 Celebration of the Arts Featured Artist John Sterling. These are the three prizes for the lucky winners in the first-ever Stroll Through the Arts raffle on Friday, Nov. 7.

This year the Lewisburg Arts Council is introducing a passport program for the Stroll. Visit one business in each block between 5th Street to Front Street and two businesses between Front Street and Water Street. Get your Stroll Through the Arts Passport signed at each venue you visit, for a total of six venues. Submit your completed Passport at the Silent Art Auction site, the Lewisburg Club at 131 Market St., before 9:30 p.m., when a drawing will be held for the three prizes. Passports are available at any one of the participating businesses (look for the luminaria!) or the Silent Art Auction site – the Lewisburg Club.

But that's not all the art there is for people to take home! Original watercolors, oils, photographs, and more – all at the Silent Art Auction on Friday, Nov. 7. It’s part of the Stroll Through the Arts evening held in downtown Lewisburg that night. The Auction will be held that evening from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Lewisburg Club at 131 Market St.

This year’s offerings feature work donated by artists who participated in last April’s Lewisburg Arts Festival. You’ll find everything from paintings, photographs, and prints to pottery, textiles, jewelry, toys, and many other works of art. A slide show of images of some of the items are on the Lewisburg Arts Council’s website:
