More Than Dinner, a Life Experience

Oct 28, 2014 02:11PM ● By Erica Shames

Vision Resources of Central Pennsylvania - Harrisburg, PA presents: Eveningin the Shadows, Thursday, Nov. 13, from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. at the Clarion Hotel & Conference Center, Harrisburg West.

Evening in the Shadows is an awareness event in which guests, wearing adjustable lightweight blindfolds, are served a five-course meal paired with fine wines while enjoying live entertainment. The menu is not disclosed until after dessert when the guests meet the chef, winemaker and entertainment.  Participants share the experience of dining through the eyes and senses of someone who is visually impaired. Different venues, chefs, winemakers and entertainment are selected each year to ensure the evening remains exclusive and memorable.

One attendee last year remarked…“What an absolutely wonderful event!!  I truly think this may have been the best fundraising event I have ever gone to!!!  It was wonderfully unique, very classy and the only fundraiser that I have ever been to that has put me in the shoes of the people we are raising money to support!!”

For further inquiries or to place your ticket reservation please call 717-238-2531 or visit All proceeds for Evening in the Shadows directly benefit Vision Resources of Central Pennsylvania.
