Millbrook Hosts Regional Premiere of Chick Flick the Musical

On Oct. 9-12 Millbrook Playhouse and Your Theatrics International will be presenting the regional premiere of the new musical CHICK FLICK THE MUSICAL by Suzy Conn.

What’s better than a chick flick? How about 60 chick flicks and a drinking game! Yes, it’s BFF time, so break out the booze and join friends Karen, Dawn, Sheila, and Meg as they chill out and let loose on a Friday night. Guy trouble? Career trouble? Whether you’re a fan of romantic comedies or teary sisterhood dramas, you’ll recognize the delicious tidbits of life advice that chick flicks offer. A heartwarming story of friendship, truth telling and Chardonnay flights, CHICK FLICK THE MUSICAL promises that you can get through anything with a little help from your friends … and chick flicks!

The cast and creative team for this regional premiere include; Whitney Maris Brown, Kendall Chaffee-Standish, Rachel Joyce and Maisie Salinger star as four friends who come together for their monthly Friday night chick flick fest. After an evening of sharing and eating their feelings, Meg (Salinger), Karen (Chaffee-Standish), Dawn (Brown), and Sheila (Joyce) come to realize that friendship is the best medicine.

Directed by Mary Kate Burke with musical direction by Seth Weinstein, the regional premiere will take place in the Poorman Cabaret Theatre at Millbrook Playhouse, a unique barn theatre operating as a professional summer stock theatre since 1963.
