Peanut Butter Tasty Cakes
(These are very similar to the peanut butter candy, except better. Delicious!)
2 cups sugar
2 cups all purpose flour
2 tsp vanilla
½ tsp salt
1 Tbsp oil
1 tsp baking powder
1 cup milk
3 Hershey bars
1 8 oz. jar peanut butter
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Beat eggs until fluffy. Add all ingredients except Hershey bars and peanut butter. Add flour slowly. Bake 20 minutes or until springy to the touch. Remove from the oven and spread peanut butter over cake. Place in refrigerator until peanut butter hardens.Melt Hershey bars and spread over cake and peanut butter. Let cool again. Hint: use a jelly roll cake pan to bake them in.
Cheesy Garlic Bread (Delicious with chili.)
1 ½ cups mayonnaise
1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
1 cup thinly sliced green onions with tops
3 garlic cloves, minced
1/3 cup minced fresh parsley
1 loaf homemade bread, sliced
Preheat oven to 400-degrees. Mix all ingredients together. Spread on bread slices. Place on baking sheet. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes or until puffed, but not brown. Cut in slices, if desired. Makes 12 servings.
